Welcome to Vanessa Jay’s School of Dance.
Established in Nottinghamshire in 2017, VJSD offers Ballet, Tap, Street, Musical Theatre, Jazz and more to children of all ages. Whether your child is taking their first dance steps or building on a passion they already love, we are here to help them grow in confidence, develop their skills and enjoy being part of our dance school family.
We follow the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) syllabus, offering examinations across a range of genres. Our pupils also have opportunities to shine on stage, with annual performances at Mansfield Palace Theatre and smaller events including school fairs, VJSD choreography performances, visits to residential homes and other community activities.
At VJSD, we believe dance teaches children so much more than steps. We pride ourselves on providing a safe, supportive and inclusive environment where pupils can have fun, make friends and feel valued. Our fully qualified teachers nurture each child’s individual abilities, encouraging safe dance practice and helping them reach their full potential in a healthy, happy way.
